Phillip Moreland was born and raised in Cleveland Heights, Ohio, where he attended Cleveland Heights High School. There he lettered in football and track & field. Moreland earned a football scholarship to Seton Hill University where he made an immediate impact and became a starter his freshman year. Through working hard to perfect his craft he remained a starter his entire career. Over the course of his career he was named a USA Division II 1st Team All-American, 1st Team All-PSAC, 3rd Team All-Region, and the team's defensive player of the year.
Unlike many talented athletes, Moreland's dream was not a career in the NFL. Instead, he dreamed of helping others accomplish their goals just like he did; through working hard and striving to become the best athlete you can possibly be. Hence, his inspiration to start Filmore Athletics; an athletic performance training program which focuses on improving your footwork, speed, power, explosiveness, and skill in whichever sport you play. Moreland has trained everyone from professional athletes, Division 1 college athletes, and even youth. His mission is to bring the best out of every athlete and sharpen their skills in order to help them attack their goals.
