Dr. James Alberty was born in Augusta, GA. He attended A. R. Johnson Health Science and Engineering Magnet High School, which is ranked as one of the top four high schools in the state of Georgia. Upon graduation Dr. Alberty enrolled in Fort Valley State University, where he graduated in 2002, receiving his Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology. While attending Fort Valley State University, he was a spring 2001 initiate of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc.
Dr. Alberty then matriculated to Life University in Marietta, Georgia where he graduated in 2007 as a Doctor of Chiropractic with numerous special certifications. He successfully embarked upon his professional career as the owner and Clinical Director of Gifted Hands Chiropractic and Wellness Center in Atlanta, GA. Presented with a great opportunity, Dr. Alberty relocated to Cleveland Ohio, where he worked in a multidisciplinary facility specializing in orthopedics and sports medicine, and later joined the Cleveland Clinic Hospital medical staff as a Chiropractic physician.Dr. Alberty is certified by the National Board of Chiropractic as well as the State Board of Chiropractic for the States of Ohio and Georgia. He is also an Ohio certified BWC provider, and has extensive experience in the treatment of work related, sports, and personal injuries.
Dr. Alberty has been an adjunct professor at the University of Phoenix in the area of Biological Sciences since 2008. In his spare time, he is a health, sports, and exercise enthusiast. He is also an avid traveler. His most positive and rewarding experiences have been centered on working with and mentoring young people. He believes strongly in the adage, "It takes a village to raise a child,"and is inspired by youth who lives are empowered for better and more enriched outcomes.
